英国著名杂志《Nature》是世界上最早的国际性科技期刊，自从1869年创刊以来，始终如一地报道和评论全球科技领域里最重要的突破。
Nature.com 平台提供的电子期刊，主题涵盖科学、技术、生物技术、化学、基因与进化、免疫、药学、医学、临床医学、恶性肿瘤、牙科、分子细胞生物、神经科学、物理科学等。
Nature出版集团（Nature Publishing Group，简称NPG）于1999年10月成立，隶属于Macmillan Publishers Ltd，出版Nature, Nature Research Journals, Nature Reviews 等84种刊物，其中包括知名学会期刊。Nature.com 是Nature Publishing Group 的因特网出版平台，采用AOP (Advance Online Publication)系统，论文的在线出版可以比纸本提早数星期。
根据Thomson Reuters公布的2012年度期刊影响因子显示，在排名十名的期刊中，有4种是由NPG出版集团出版；在排名前二十名的期刊中，有11种是由NPG出版集团出版。Nature集团采购的34种期刊全部被SCI收录，影响因子平均达到21.978。
